<div itemprop="description">Linda Marie Gilligan, a beloved wife, adored mother, and cherished friend passed into the arms of God on December 31st, 2013 in Houston, TX at the age of 38 after a courageous and inspirational battle against a rare form of cancer. Linda touched the lives of all who knew her with her kindness, loyalty, intelligence, and sense of humor. Linda was a natural leader - she made a decision on what she wanted, went all in to get it, and never looked back with any regrets. This mentality is what led her to a successful cycling and cross-country skiing career in Canada, professional success as an executive at Accenture, and the love and admiration of her family and friends. The grief we feel at her loss is a reflection of the love we feel, and knowing what a rare, irreplaceable star she was in our world. Linda is survived by her husband and best friend of 10 years, Gareth Jones, her son Bryce aged 4, and daughter Rhiannon aged 2. She is also survived by her parents Dan and Claudia, her brothers Scott and Mark, and all of Gareth's family who love her as a sister and daughter.
